Questions About Dental Sedation In Midlothian, VA
Is Dental Sedation Safe?
At J Han Dental Design we only offer dental sedation methods that are proven to be safe and effective forms of sedation dentistry. We take time to make sure that our patients understand the options they have available, and do our best to explain what each form of sedation dentistry entails. This is important to our team because we want you to be able to make the best decision about your sedation dentistry options.
Can I Drive After Having Sedation Dentistry?
It depends. Depending upon the type of dental sedation you have received will determine whether you’re able to drive to and from your dental treatment or not. In most cases, if you have nitrous oxide as your form of dental sedation, you should be able to drive without issue. However if you have oral conscious dental sedation, you will need a friend or family member to take you to our office and home. IV sedation for the most part is situation dependent.
Is having a Dental Phobia a real occurrence?
Not everyone suffers from having a dental phobia, or dental anxiety but having a dental phobia is definitely very real for many patients who need dental care. Thankfully, with the help of sedation dentistry we can help those who suffer from a dental phobia or phobias to relax enough to get the care that they need and/or desire.
Will Sedation Dentistry put me to sleep?
You’d think with a name like sedation dentistry, that sedation dentistry would put you to sleep – however, that usually isn’t the case. The sedation dentistry techniques we offer at J Han Dental Design help you relax and be comfortable, but still allow you to interact with the dentist, so that we can ensure that you are being taken care of and that you continue to be comfortable.
